Uukumwe Youth Empowerment Consortium (PTY) Ltd is a 100% Namibian entity, incorporated on 15 September 2010. Uukumwe was initiated by young Namibians to participate in and benefit from Namibia’s fishing and marine industry through fishing rights and quota allocations system.

Uukumwe is a fishing rights holder to harvest three (3) different species, namely Horse Mackerel, Large Pelagic (Tuna, Swordfish and Shark) and Cape Fur Seal.

The company opened a Seal processing Factory in Luderitz enabling the processing of pelts, meat, blubber and other by-products.
